In Serbia, we tend to say that someone philosophizes when:
- we don’t understand what they are talking about;
- we are forced to listen;
- they complain;
- we don’t agree with somebody’s opinion;
- they demand something extra from us;
- they make a drama out of nothing;
- when they spend more time talking than they should’ve;
- they are paid to talk;
- they point out the negative consequences of our behaviour;
- …
Most often, philosophizing doesn’t have anything to do with the speaker, but rather with our inability to walk in somebody else’s shoes.
