The First Paragraph

Writers put a lot of effort into creating the perfect first paragraph. That paragraph should deeply touch the reader’s soul and make her read more. Perhaps not just the reader’s? Before a writer thinks about a reader, she first needs to capture the attention of an agent, editor, publisher, reviewer, critique; the “special” kind of reader, who can make writer’s dreams come true or turn them into nightmares.

Recently, I was wondering, what if a writer creates every paragraph as it was the first one? Would she have an astonishing book or just a daunting work without any result? For some reason, I believe that this approach could produce remarkable work.
